A few weeks back, I posted an article on the tuning of the Uruk Lute, in
which 21/20 and 15/14 are suggested as possible Sumerian/Babylonian
divisions of the tone. I thought it would be interesting to create an
extended scale based on this idea and came up with the following
17-tones. I haven't yet composed in it (I hope to shortly) but I thought
I'd pass this on to other composers for their consideration. No pretense
of historical accuracy is implied.

"Uruk" scale:

!

21/20 =84.5 cents

15/14 =119.4

9/8 =203.9

189/160 = 288.4

135/112 =323.3

81/64 =407.8

4/3 =498.1

7/5 =582.5

10/7 =617.5

3/2 =701.9

63/40 =786.4

45/28 =821.3

27/16 =905.8

567/320 =990.3

405/224 =1025.2

243/128 =1109.7

This scale is epimorphic, and maybe it's no surprise that tempering

I think it's best to give these as Scala scl files:
