From: Gene Ward Smith (2004-09-01) Subject: Six note dwarves and clusters Dwarf(<6 9 14|) is in the Scala directory twice, once since it is a genus (genus(75)) and once as cluster6b, about which the description line says "Six-Tone Triadic Cluster 4:6:5". A similar remark applies to dwarf(<6 0 14 17|), which is genus(175) and cluster6h, "Six-Tone Triadic Cluster 4:7:5". It would be interesting to know who cooked up these clusters and where. The 5-limit standard val doesn't have a dwarf, since it is contorted, but the 7-limit standard val does. This, like a number of the other dwarves, is not in the Scala directory; I give it below. It's pretty well supplied harmonically, with one major tetrad and two major triads. ! dwarf6_7.scl Dwarf(<6 10 14 17|) 6 ! 8/7 5/4 10/7 3/2 12/7 2
