Subject: Synched schismatic

The synched tuning for schismatic is poptimal, but you can avoid
synchronized beating if you wish with other poptimal tunings, such as
289-et. Below I give the synched tuning for two schismatic MOS, so you
can see what the beats do for you.

17-tone 1/8-schisma tempered meantone scale

When I put schisynch17 into the Scala directory, Scala concluded it
was the same as meanschis_17, which is Schismatic[17] (incorrectly
claimined to be meantone, it seems to me, as there's not much point in
the schismatic thirds if you don't use them.) From a beat point of view,
1/8-schisma schismatic is quite different from synched schismatic,
which is extremely close to 5/43-schisma schismatic. One gives you
pure major thirds, and the other synched beating; brat infinity as
opposed to brat -1.
