From: christopherv (2010-04-09) Subject: Stirring the Lady This is a smooth jazz piece built around Norm Harris' percussion using Garritan Jazz and Big Band sample set with the Aria player and a touch of tonehammer's Francesca sample set. http://micro.soonlabel.com/just/JI/daily20100402-stirring-the-lady-in-e-JI.mp3 The tuning used is a JI set of intervals in 12 / octave setting that came with Aria. I find it works pretty well even with some of the bluesy things I do. That was surprising to me. Scored for upright bass, piano, clarinet, saxophone and female vocalizations and of course Norm's percussion track. Here is the tuning I used ! ji_12.scl ! Basic JI with 7-limit tritone 12 ! 16/15 9/8 6/5 5/4 4/3 7/5 3/2 8/5 5/3 9/5 15/8 2/1 I of course reserve the option of revising this piece :-) A comparison via simultaneous playing of 12 equal and JI versions is here: http://micro.soonlabel.com/just/JI/daily20100402-stirring-the-lady12JI.mp3
